Meridian Engineers is firmly established as one of Australia’s most innovative train weighing companies.
The company has built an enviable reputation for leading-edge loading and weighing systems plus specialist consulting and design services in the structural, mechanical, electronics and software fields.
Capable of weighing trains from 0 to 100 kilometres per hour, Meridian’s train weighing systems are trade approved with certification from both the National Measurement Institute Australia and the National Weights and Measures Laboratory UK.
In recent times, the train weighing systems have expanded to also handle dual gauge applications.
There is even a split-weighing system, which requires no repositioning of sleepers for installation, providing a very cost-effective solution for clients wanting good weighing accuracy.
Meridian is also proud to announce its bolt-on transducers, that can be fitted to load bearing structural elements including beams, columns and rail, are now available in an intrinsically safe version.
They have recently been certified to both IECEx and ATEX, and have achieved an IP68 ingress protection rating during testing.
A web interface capacity has also been introduced to the company’s suite of products.
There is now no requirement for clients to install third party software in order to access the information from their Meridian system.
Instead, the intuitive, web-based user interface allows the end user to monitor the status of the system live, and provides information from live wheel weights to the latest event logs.
In September, Meridian Engineers is excited to be exhibiting at both InnoTrans 2016 in Berlin, as well as MINExpo 2016 in Las Vegas.
